Leslie Lienau is an artist, educator, and founder of The Oklahoma Academy of Classical Art. She studied academic drawing and painting under Ted Seth Jacobs at École Albert DeFois in Central France and has been influenced by instructors including Andrew Ameral, Anthony Ryder, and Jacob Collins. Her work has received numerous awards and is represented in both public and private collections. She exhibited in a solo exhibition at the Governor’s Gallery at the Oklahoma State Capitol and was twice invited to the American Art in Miniature Show at the Gilcrease Museum. Leslie currently resides in Northern New Mexico and is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of New Mexico. She continues her teaching practice through online mentorship and in-person workshops.
With the help and guidance of her son, Seth Capshaw, Leslie invented two innovative, patent pending tools that prove to remedy many of the obstacles artists encounter. She developed The View Frame and shortly after, developed the Miira mobile app for iPhone. She and Seth founded Miira Artist Tools in 2012.
